Obituary For Linda Readman Dika

Linda Lee Dika (nee Readman), resident of Spirit River, formerly of Rycroft and Fairview, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016, at Central Peace Health Complex LTC, at the age of 68 years old.

Linda was born and raised in Fairview, AB. She went to school in Fairview and did her post-secondary studies in Edmonton. Linda worked for Artesian Insurance as a sales agent and also for the Registry. She most recently worked for RBC Insurance, selling life insurance.

She was always laughing, positive, upbeat and fun loving. A true loyal friend who was always accepting of everyone.

Linda enjoyed a wide variety of sports including golf, curling, woman’s hockey, fast ball and skiing. She was an outdoors person and enjoyed gardening and walking. Linda also enjoyed dancing and listening to music.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Jeff of 48 years; children: Sandra Dika-Pando (Miguel), Jodie Rajotte (Brian) and Chad (Nichol Sopkow); grandchildren: Diego, Maya, Kiersten, Reaghan, Jesse and Sydnee; mother Theresa Readman; siblings: Hugh (Heidi), Larry (Maryanne), and Wayne (Barb); in-laws: Greg (Diane), Mary (Eddie) Fisher, and Trudy.

She was predeceased by her father Hugh Readman.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at 1:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.), with a reception to follow.
