William Tom Smart, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Grimshaw, AB, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, at the age 69 years.

Tom was born on April 22, 1953, in Edmonton, AB, and he was raised on the family farm just outside of Grimshaw. He graduated at Grimshaw High School in 1971, and went on to become an RCMP member, which he did until his retirement in 2002.

Tom was adventurous, honest, helpful to others, and hard working. He loved the outdoors, hunting, camping, quading, and enjoyed spending weekends with friends at the cabin. He also enjoyed travelling to the Yukon, Alaska.

He will be sadly missed by his close friends: Rick, Tanis, Celena, Dalton, and Cailin; as well as many other long-time friends and family.

He was predeceased by his father George Smart and mother Anne Smart.

A Memorial Service will be held in the spring of 2023.
