William “Billy” Wanyandie, resident of Grande Cache, AB, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 73 years.

Billy was born on January 21, 1948, he was raised in Wanyandie Flats, AB, and Sheep Creek, AB. He learned by living off the land and was self-taught. All his life he was a sheep guide, and a true horseman. He did consultation work for AWN and ADC. He was a hunter, guide, horseman. Billy raised his granddaughters.

Billy will be sadly missed by his children: Karen, Norman, Charmayne, Carol, Tracey, Susan, and Brady; grandchildren: Tia, Aailyah, Charmaine, Courtney, Dallas, Preston, Shane, Bentley, Khloe, Ryder, Jase, Dyneka, Isaiah, Meadow, Logan, Jayden, Isabel, Landon, Keira, and Alyssa; great-grandchild Makyle; his brothers and sisters: Louis, Joachim, Virginia Rohatynsky, June McDonald, and Marie Wanyandie; nieces and nephews: Betty, Jacob, Eva, Sheryl, Rocky, Ron, John, Susie and Evonne; brothers in-law Clifford and Jack; as well as friend Bud Kipp.

Billy was predeceased by his wife Betha Wanyandie; father Harry Wanyandie; as well as brothers: Lloyd Wanyandie and Raymond Wanyandie, Eddie Joachim, Norman Wanyandie; sister Adelaide Moberly; as well as Evelyn.
