Bill Badger, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Sexsmith, AB, passed away on July 26, 2025, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 89 years.

Bill and his twin sister, Betty, were born on August 17, 1935, at the Johanna Haakstad Maternity Home in Sexsmith, and were raised on a farm northwest of Sexsmith. Bill married Rose Braumberger, and they built their home on the family farm where they raised their four children. Bill enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, and gatherings at the family cabin. He was resourceful and found many solutions to everyday problems encountered on the family farm. He took great pride in caring for the livestock, and they came up against many harsh winters over the years. Bill and Rose were married for 62 years until Rose passed away on February 5, 2023.

Bill will be sadly missed by his children Janice (Jim), Marvin (Lily), Lyle (Karen), and Cindy (Dwayne); grandchildren Bruin (Katy), Alecia (Tyson), Will (Rowena), Kristin, Hailey (Mitch), Raylene, Aimee (Ray), Melanie, and Melissa; and great-grandson Beau; as well as siblings Herb Glover (Chris) and Rob (Joy). Bill was predeceased by his parents George and Helen Badger; siblings Jim, Warren Glover, Bill Glover, and Betty (John); and sister-in-law Marilyn.
