Obituary For William "Bill" Harold Jacobson

Bill Jacobson, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, in Campbell River, BC, at the age of 74 years.

We remember him as a dedicated coach, trainer, player, manager, and community volunteer. He had quick wit and a wonderful sense of humour. Bill operated and owned businesses in the Grande Prairie area for over 40 years and was heavily involved in fastball and hockey. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.

Bill will be sadly missed by his wife Lacey of 44 years; son Chris; son Cary (Roxanne); grandchildren Waylon and Gemma; brothers: Gary (Lisa), Bernie (Brenda), Bruce, and Tom; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Yvonne Jacobson; father and mother in-law Harold and Mary Lou Matlock; brother Wade; sister Susan and brother in-law Don Vogelesang; sister Lynne; as well as brother Keith.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2:00pm, at the Grande Prairie United Church (10206-100 Ave.).

    I posted a picture of our fastball team reunion which was in Sep 2014. We had a great time which was just a continuation of many good times from our fastball playing days. We miss you already Bill and will forever.
