Walter Mueller passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the QEII Hospital at the age of 94 years after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Walter was born on October 29, 1920 in Fahrnau, Germany and came to Canada in 1951. Walter moved to Grande Prairie in the 1960’s where he worked at Canfor for 19 years until he retired.

He was predeceased by his wife Ursula in 1991, step-son Morgan Diesel and step-granddaughter Jamie Macleod.

Walter is survived by his loving wife Grace and loving families. Walter’s son Gerd Mueller of Germany (Sabine Werner) and their daughter Christine (Frank). Daughter Gerlinde (Ray) Lea of Didsbury and their son Parnell (his children Kristina and Tanner). Daughter Ginny (Aaron) Davis and their children Jenna and Kelsi. Daughter Tracy (Ken) Muller and their children Anyssa, Shaylin and Airianna. Son Hart (Rose) Mueller of Grande Prairie and their children Sheryl (Robert) Normandeau and Derek. Nieces and nephews from Germany: Mechthild Fortsch, Paul-Jorg (Dietlind) Bauer, Christel (Jurgen) Hoffman, Renate Bannwarth (Heinz) Wolfgang Muller, Daniela Balbierz and Beatrix Martin, and families in Germany. His step-family: step-daughter Willie (Dennis) Wurst and their children Jeanette and Kerry, step-son Buckey Diesel and his children Natalia, Terra and Tyrelle, step-daughter Deaya (Larry) Manysiak and their children Jason, Barry and Derek, step-daughter Zay Huntington (Bob) and their children Antony (Rachel), Jordon (Laura), Donna (Randy) and Liz (Brendan), step-daughter Cloe Small (Doug) and their children Jody (Rob), Jessica, Natasha (Ben), and Cory (Brittany), step-daughter Penny Batt (Barry Fenton) and their children Gloria (Derek), Bill (Mel), Dustan (Dana) and Dorian (Athena), step-son Dorrin Diesel (Jo) and their children Dustin (Shelly), Donny (Dominika), Amanda (Ian), Taryn, Becky (Tyson), Tyson (Jessica) and Whitney (Leroy), step-daughter Pauline Wendt (Bryan) and their children Brody and Darcee (Justin), step-daughter Tammie Diesel and her children Mitch and Nik, step-son Dean Diesel (Danielle) and their children Clayton, Ryan, Heather and Annie; as well as 38 step-great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11:00am at People’s Church in Grande Prairie (11850 108 St.).
