Obituary For Virginia Rohatinsky

Virginia Rohatinsky, resident of Grande Cache, AB, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in Edmonton, AB, at the age of 76 years.

Virginia loved the outdoors and found joy in horses, birds, and flowers. She was a natural storyteller and the matriarch of her family. She shared wisdom, laughter, and love with everyone around her. Virginia was a devoted wife to her husband of 48 years and cherished her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Bob Rohatinsky; children Eva (Scott), Betty (Matt), Jacob (Krysten), Sheryl (Tavis), Rocky (Randi), John, Ron (Leah), Susie, and Evonne (Brayden); and grandchildren Jesse, Taylor, Jaden, Jagger, Darreston, Payton, Ashton, Carter, Kade, Arabella, Odin, Ivy, Aero, Haley, and Wyatt.

The two-day wake will begin on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Eagle’s Nest Hall in Grande Cache (10028 99 St). The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Grande Cache (10734 Shand Ave W). Interment will follow at the Wanyandie Flats Cemetery. Following the interment, friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon back at Eagle’s Nest Hall.
