It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Veronica on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at the age of 65 years.

She was the owner of George’s Driver Service since inception in 1997 and when not working, she was an avid quilter and crocheter.

Veronica was predeceased by her husband George Schmidt, older brother Gordon Bible and sister in-law Gwen Bible.

She will be remembered by her mother Bertha Bible, brother Irvine (Lorraine) Knauft; sisters Edna (Alec) Taggart, Mabel Douglas, and Ethel (Rod) Giesbrecht; children Shelly Fromberg (Peter Bakker), William (Jennifer) Schmidt, Gordon (Cassandra) Schmidt, Dennis (Doreen) Schmidt, Jean Schmidt; as well as 10 grandchildren, all of whom will miss her cheery smile and laughter every day.

The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 2:00pm at Oliver’s Funeral Chapel in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (200 325 Manning Road, NE Calgary, AB T2E 2P5), QEII Hospital Foundation – Grande Prairie Cancer Clinic (10409 98 St. Grande Prairie, AB T8V 2E8), or to the Grande Prairie Hospice Palliative Care Society (P.O.
