Obituary For Tyler Justin Timothy Horseman

Tyler Horseman, resident of Horse Lake First Nation, AB, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Horse Lake First Nation, at the age of 35 years.

Tyler “Beetle” was born on May 25, 1987, in Grande Prairie, AB, and raised in Horse Lake First Nation. He played hockey growing up. Tyler was a jokester, if you were sad, he would cheer you up.

He loved to help others, and he was very kind-hearted. Tyler was also a people pleaser, he would agree to whatever was said to him. He never wanted to disappoint anyone. He also called everyone “bro” and “sister”.

Tyler will be sadly missed by his mother Theresa Kenny; father Ernie Horseman; brothers Dale “Phil” Horseman, Tyson Horseman, and Ernie Ferguson-Horseman; sisters Brooklyn Moberly, Kaitlyn Moberly, and Paris Ferguson-Horseman; god-parents Pam Wanihandi and Paul “Tojo” L’Hirondelle, and Walter and Elaine Petroski; son Charles Sowan-Horseman; daughters: Jade Crystal “JC” Horseman and Silver Garbitt-Horseman;.

Tyler was predeceased by his grandparents Fred and Stella Savard, and Alvina Horseman; uncles Blair, Hoss Ferguson and Norm Savard; brother Mark Petroski; cousins Shane and Vanessa; as well as numerous others.

A Wake will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 6:00pm, at Horse Lake First Nation Arena.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 1:00pm, at Horselake First Nation.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Children's Stollery Hospital Foundation (800 College Plaza 8215 122 St, Edmonton, AB, T6G 2C8).
