Obituary For Travis Gordon Glenn

It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Travis Gordon Glenn announce his passing on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Royal Alexandra Hospital at the age of 45 years.

Travis was born on January 10, 1979 in Calgary and was welcomed into the loving home of Gordon and Judy Glenn on January 24, 1979 and they began their life together as a family.

While the family lived in Grande Prairie two more children came along. Now a complete family, Gordon, Judy, Travis, Kris and Julie moved to Sexsmith. Travis attended elementary and secondary school in Sexsmith.

After high school, Travis briefly moved to Calgary to spread his wings. Upon returning to Grande Prairie he met his soulmate Danae. Danae and Travis were a perfect match. Danae was often found laughing while rolling her eyes at Travis's endearing and goofy antics. Although they loved teasing each other, there was no better pair than Travis and Danae.

Travis and Danae were blessed with two wonderful children, Davis and Brinley, who were the light of his life. He found immense joy in cheering them on from the sidelines of their sporting events, and even more joy from retelling the details to anyone who would listen. He also had a heart for many other athletes in Grande Prairie, enthusiastically rooting for them and celebrating their accomplishments.

Travis found great joy in activities such as playing softball and spending time at the rink. However, his greatest joy was found in the company of his friends and family, whom he cherished deeply. His outgoing nature, entertaining stories, and genuine kindness endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Travis will be remembered for his magnetic personality and his ability to bring energy to any group. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

Travis will be sadly missed by his wife Danae; two children Davis and Brinley; mother Judy Glenn; brother Kristopher (Charlotte) Glenn, their children: Ava, Liam, and Tristan; sister Julie (Mark) Snider, their children Owen and Lyla; father-in-law Brent Huber; mother-in-law Laurie Huber (Foster); brother-in-law Damon Vaillancourt and daughter Karmen; as well as numerous other family members and an enormous amount of friends.

Travis was predeceased by his father Gordon Glenn.

A Service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 1:00pm at The Bowes Event Centre, Grande Prairie, AB (10017 99 Ave), followed by a Memorial Skate in honour of Travis (please bring your skates and helmet if you would like to skate a few laps). Refreshments will follow the skate.

Memorial donations may be made to KidSport Grande Prairie (kidsportcanada.ca/alberta/grande-prairie/donate/).

A Livestream of the service will be accessible 15 minutes prior to the service on Travis Glenn's obituary on Oliver’s Funeral Home website.

I will never forget meeting Travis at school because Davis was in my grade 7 class. He was so energetic and friendly. Not only did I have the pleasure of teaching Davis, but Brinley as well. Travis was so obviously loyal to his family and appreciative of the teachers. This hits hard.
