Torger was my hero during my teenage years growing up in La Glace. Even though he was 8 years older than me, he took an interest in me . Torger taught me to play the guitar. When visiting Torger in later years we played guitars together. By this time he was using a 12 string guitar. So each time I visited we played and sang the great hymns and Gaither songs. These are wonderful memories of a kind man. I truly am grateful for such a Godly mentor! Ray Benterud
