Obituary For Thomas William Knott

Thomas “Tom” W. Knott, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Port aux Basques, NL, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021, at the age of 66 years.

Tom was born and raised in Port aux Basques to Eric and Kathleen Knott. Tom resided in Port aux Basques until 1994, when he moved out west to seek a better life for family.

Tom had a personality that filled a room and a larger-than-life laugh and smile.

Tom loved his family and fast cars. He was passionate about animals and loved his fur babies. Any animal that met him, loved him.

Tom will be sadly missed by his wife Doris of 47 years; children: Duane Knott, Kerri-Ann Knott, Lindsey Knott, and Mary Adams (nee Knott); as well as grandchildren: Megan Gillis, Faith Gillis, Noah Gillis, Alex Roberts, Zachary Roberts, Evan Knott, Taryn Knott, Avery Knott, and Roman Adams; mother Kathleen Knott; brother Reg (Carol Ann) Knott; as well as sister Kathy (Norman) Strickland.

Tom was predeceased by his father Eric Knott in 1981, and his brother Paul Knott in 2007.

    Sorry to hear of Tom's passing,we worked together on the docks in the early 70's Tom was always quite and never said much.We talked the last time he was home a few yrs back.Rest easy O Buddy.

    Doris and Family So very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Tom and Bob worked together many years ago when they both had the same model dump truck. We have only good memories of Tom and his commitment to his family. He will surely be missed by all who knew him and no one more so than his family. Hold tight your memories of happier days. RIP Tom.
