On Tuesday, February 2, 2016, Tekla Waszczyszyn, longtime resident of Rycroft, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 95 years.

Tekla will be lovingly remembered by her children: Helyn (Dan) Deschene, Mike (Corrina) Wozny, and Stella (Bill) Zurock; grandchildren: Jason (Amber) Tourangeau, Dalyn Deschene, Luwanda Reum, Troy Deschene, Trevor Deschene, Dustyn Wozny, Ashlyn Wozny, Brennan (Chelsea) Zurock and Colby (Ashley) Zurock. Also by her 8 great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Tekla was predeceased by her first husband Miron Wozny in 1960, her son Steve Wozny in 1969, and her second husband John Waszczyszyn in 1986.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016, at 11:00am, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Rycroft, with Father Arockiam Savarimuthu presiding. Burial to follow.

Memorial donations in loving memory of Tekla may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
