Obituary For Ted Pierog
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ted Pierog, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, at the age of 85 years.
Ted was born on September 17, 1939, to parents John and Pauline Pierog. He was born on the family homestead and was the second of four children. From there, Ted moved with his family to Belloy, AB, where he helped with the farm until he met Leslie and moved to start a family of his own.
Ted was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. Ted retired quite early, and in his retirement, he took up golfing which he became exceptionally skilled at.
Ted was a very talented heavy-duty mechanic. He moved his family to Grande Prairie to pursue a job at the airport. He eventually moved on from the airport to take a position at Proctor and Gamble (now Weyerhaeuser), as a heavy-duty mechanic until his retirement.
He will be sadly missed by siblings; Ed (Mary) Pierog, Tony (Beth) Pierog, Vicky (Paul) Yaremko; children: Brenda (Dave) Yaremko, Boyd (Chris) Pierog, Leanne (Dwayne) Thompson, Kurt Pierog; dear friend and companion Leslie Webb; grandchildren: Stacie (Erik Burow) Yaremko, Jake Thompson, Darcie (Alex) Boussuge, Paige Thompson, Dani Pierog, Ashley (Bryce) Sunde, Jadyn Pierog, Hunter Pierog, Rogan Pierog, Addison Pierog; great-grandchildren: Loic Boussuge, Brooke Yaremko Burow, Margot Boussuge and many extended family and friends.

Really sorry to hear of the Pierog's family's loss of Ted. I met him as a young teen having been a friend of some of the Pierog kids. He had a lot of character, was hard working and encouraged his kids to be the same way. My sincerest condolences to the entire family.
