Obituary For Tatum Rae Halladay

Tatum Rae Halladay, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, at the age of 47 years.

On July 25, 1978, Tatum Halladay (Sheridan) was born at the QE Hospital and raised in Grande Prairie. After graduating from Grande Prairie Composite High School, Tatum became well-known and admired at both KFCs for over ten years. After her years of dedication at KFC, she worked for three years driving a school bus with First Student, supporting her own children’s journey to school. No curb was safe! More recently, Tatum opened her heart and started serving as a private home caregiver. Tatum’s love and compassion was felt and absorbed by all around her.

Tatum would always dance like nobody was watching. After marrying Allan in 2008, they had two sweet boys. She raised these boys in her own image, to be loving and compassionate young men. She had a passion for travel and took multiple trips with family and friends to the Lower Mainland and Mexico. Tatum had many hobbies, often sharing her crafts with the ones she loved. She was active with the Actor and Entertainer Guild at the Grande Prairie Legion, entertaining members and the public for many years.

Tatum will be sadly missed by her husband, Allan Halladay; sons Teagan and Tyler Halladay; brother Garret Sheridan and niece Alexis Sheridan; grandmother Bernice Lewis; aunts Mary Lewis and Bonnie Knudson; cousins Christina Knudson and Olivia Knudson; in-laws Gervin and Catherine Halladay; Brigid Halladay, Matt Senechal, and their children Cael and Myra; Andrew Halladay, David Taylor, and their children Logan and Nathan; cousins Twyla Bauman, Bill Bauman, Brayden Bauman, Kelsey Bauman, and Azon Ringguth; best friends Amanda and Corey Allum; and many other relatives of the family: Sheridans, Halladays, Withers, Donohues, and Clare-McLeans.

She was predeceased by her grandfather, Derek Lewis, and her mother, Betty Lee.

A celebration of Tatum’s life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave). Following the celebration of life, friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon at the Grande Prairie Legion. Interment will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (https://albertacancer.ca/donate/).

Forever loved, never forgotten.
