We offer families the opportunity to prepare and submit obituary notices written in their own words. We believe this allows each tribute to authentically reflect the life and legacy of the individual. To honour each tribute, obituaries are published as approved by the family.

Obituary For Tammy Kimberley Anne Belhumeur
Tammy Kimberley Anne Belhumeur, resident of Peace River, AB, formerly of Cadotte Lake, AB, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in Grande Cache, AB, at the age of 50 years.
Tammy was born on September 4, 1975, in Peace River. She was raised there, as well as in Cadotte Lake, until her parents passed when she was between 20 and 30 years old. Tammy always loved being in Peace River, and as the name suggests, she felt at peace there. She eventually went on to study nursing at NAIT and had many employment opportunities.
With a wild spirit for such a tiny person, Tammy was a fighter. She was incredibly strong-willed, dauntless, and tenacious, with a fierce, unbridled way about her. She loved to crack jokes. At the same time, she was quite soft-spoken unless the conversation led to a topic she was passionate about. Tammy truly cared about others.
She had a variety of interests: loud rock music, colouring, painting, being around friends, nursing, and hospice care. Hockey was another love of hers, especially when it came to the Edmonton Oilers. She found joy in spending time outside, especially while camping, hunting, or going on walks.
Tammy will be sadly missed by her significant other, Vern Hamlin; her children, Cayleb Durocher and Shawna Durocher; and her brother, Elstin Belhumeur.
She was predeceased by her father, George Amato; her mother, Elsie Bellerose; her two children, Frankie Dobransky and Elizabeth Durocher; her brother, Frank Belhumeur; and previous partners, Kaz Durocher and Darcy James Calliou.
A viewing will take place on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005-107 Ave).
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon in Oliver’s Tea Room. Interment will take place at a later date at the Peace River Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to Tammy’s children, Cayleb Durocher and Shawna Durocher, by sending an e-transfer to cayleb.durocher@gmail.com.
