Stephen Neyendo, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Inuvik, NWT, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Prairie Lake Hospice, at the age of 57 years.

Stephen was born on March 3, 1965, in Inuvik. He began his journey with Signature Support Services in 1977, when he attended The Peace School of Hope. Over the years Stephen enjoyed many workplaces including Swan Industries and favorite employer Boston Pizza.

Stephen will be sadly missed by his family from the Northwest Territories; special friend Edna; as well as many friends in Grande Prairie and surrounding area.

A special thank you is extended to Dr. Angela Barreth, the palliative care team, nurse Preet Hundal, and to all the staff who helped Stephen throughout his years.

Condolences

Sincere condolences to all of Stephen's family and friends: We had the pleasure of being next door neighbours to Stephen and the other residents of the group home in Avondale at one time. Among his other attributes Stephen was quite an athlete as I recall, particularly in running events. He was also usually pretty quiet and unassuming, especially when Joe and Charlie were around. God love you!

Over the years well being with grandpa Special Olympics, Steven smile brighten my day as he saw me at the mall or at the GP storm game. Every storm game he'd give me big high five. I never got to coach Steven and any special Olympic sports but if his Aid workers would say " here comes Coach Buffie" and he would smile. He will be missed💜

Condolences to Steve's family, signature family and friends. George has the pleasure of working with Steve at swan industries for a number of years. He would come in and hand out Boston pizza gift cards to everyone (nothing was on them of course) but we took them graciously thanking him, Stephen was so generous and always so happy to bring one a smile. We have so many great memories of him that will stay with us and we will hold them to our heart always. Love to all, from the Sabourin family
