Obituary For Stacy Badger-Gladue
Stacy Gladue, resident of Horse Lake, AB, formerly of Valleyview, AB, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in Horse Lake at the age of 57 years.
Stacy was born in Grande Prairie, AB, on October 26, 1968, to Pauline Gladue and Lawrence Badger. He was the oldest of six brothers.
At an early age, he developed an interest in hockey and played as a goalie throughout the Peace Region every winter. During his teenage years, he acquired a lifelong passion for music, playing drums all over Canada. In later years, he often performed in rodeos, practicing for hours in the backyard. Stacy was well known, had friends in every little town, and had a laugh that filled the room. He was so proud to be a grandpa and was a good dad. The love he shared with others will be remembered forever.
Stacy will be sadly missed by his mother, Pauline; father Lawrence; children Cylena, Brittany, Waylon, and Marlena; grandchildren Joshua, Jericho, Jecienda, Israel, Taysen, and Josie-Leigh; and brothers Quinton, Bryce, Dallas, and Trenton.
He was predeceased by his spouse, Marvelene Gouchey; brother Rod; maternal grandparents, Adelle (Gladue) and Johnny Calliou; paternal grandparents, Helen (Goodswimmer) and Dolan Badger; grandfather Emil Arac; maternal great-grandparents, Olive (Powder) and Jimmy Gladue, and Betsy and Louis Calliou; and paternal great-grandparents, Nancy (Montagnais) and Louis Goodswimmer.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave), with viewing beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon in Oliver’s Tea Room.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association (https://alberta.cmha.ca/donate/).

I am so sorry to hear about Stacy. I am so sorry for your loss and I offer my heart felt condolences to all that love him. Although I was not a close friend with Stacy I will always remember how gentle and kind he was to me. He was always positive and so happy. It has been many years but it was always a pleasure to see the Weekend Warriors playing at the zoo. RIP Stacy 🙏🏼
