Shelley Gwen Ferguson, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, at the age of 53 years.

On June 20, 1972, Shelley was born in Manning, AB, and raised in Grande Prairie. She attended St. Joe’s Catholic School in Grande Prairie. Throughout her life, she worked at several different jobs in Grande Prairie as well as High Prairie, AB, where she lived for a while.

Shelley was a happy, carefree person and would always help people whenever she was able to. She liked doing puzzles, and in her younger years, she had a passion for working with leather, crafting beautiful wallets.

She will be sadly missed by her sister, Claudia Pedersen; brother-in-law Tom Pedersen; as well as other family and friends.

Shelley was predeceased by her mother, Girthy Ferguson; stepfather Joe Savard; maternal grandparents, Helen Ducharme and Larone Ferguson; and numerous other family members.

The viewing will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home (10005 107 Ave, Grande Prairie). The memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., also at Oliver’s. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon in Oliver’s Tea Room. Interment will be held at a later date.
