Obituary For Sandra Mazurek

Sandra Lorraine Mazurek, formerly of Eaglesham, AB, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Points West Living in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 50 years old. Sandra struggled with different health problems including M.S. from an early age.

She will be sadly missed by her mother Alice Mazurek; siblings: Jerry (Doris) Mazurek, Doreen (Ed) Elkjer and Pauline (Ed) Erickson; nieces and nephews: Jeffrey (Brittany) Erickson, Trevor (Shanda) Mazurek, Kelly Erickson, Danielle (Brandon) Hessler, Jamie (Keri) Erickson, Justin Elkjer and Riley Elkjer; great-nieces and nephews: Vander and Myer Mazurek, Kael Hessler, Adriana Erickson and Zachrey Erickson; as well as extended family and friends.

She loved to bake, especially cookies, and made them for family and neighbors. She had the biggest heart and didn’t judge anyone. She loved the elderly where she lived for eight years. She loved animals, especially her cat Smoky and dog Spanky.

She was predeceased by her father Stanley Mazurek, uncles Matt Mazurek and Ted Mazurek, as well as grandparents Joseph and Annie Mazurek, and Andre and Annie Pelletier.

The family would like to thank the staff at Points West Living and Dr. Pope for their excellent care.

The Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 2:00pm at Eaglesham Hall.

Memorial donations may be made to MS Society of Canada – AB & NWT Division (#150 9405 50 St. Edmonton, AB T6B 2T4).

I am sorry to hear about your loss of Sandra. I have no idea what its like to lose a sibling never mind a child...I can only hope that your hearts will heal knowing that she is no longer hurting. I grew up with her many years going to Eaglesham School and know how much her illnesses really affected her day to day living even early on. I'm sorry that I am unable to attend the service (due to distance) but I will think of all of you on that day. my best regards, Lionel

I was so saddened to hear of Sandra's passing, we always had great chats together! Sandra was very quick witted and always had a come back if you teased her. We had coffee together in Eaglesham at the old hotel and visited her at Points West. Thinking of you all during this difficult time.
