Ruth Leona Solberg passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020, at the age of 95 years, in Grande Prairie, AB.

Ruth was born on October 20, 1924 in Hearne, SK to Eva and Ludwig Huber. Ruth received her education in Saskatchewan, including attending Teachers College in Moose Jaw, SK. She taught for nine years in Saskatchewan.

Ruth, her husband Bent, and son Bruce, moved to Grande Prairie in 1960. Ruth taught at old Montrose for nine years, then transferred to Swanavon in 1969. She taught there until she retired in 1989.

She leaves to mourn her daughter in-law Faye; several granddaughters; as well as several nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband Bent, son Bruce, parents, brothers, and sister.

At Ruth’s request, no funeral will be held in Grande Prairie. A graveside service will be held in Sunset Cemetery in Moose Jaw. There she will be laid to rest beside her loving husband Bent.
