Ronald James Ackeral, resident of Grande Prairie, Alberta formerly of Big Valley, Alberta passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Grande Prairie, Alberta at the age of 87 years.

Ron was born to John and Henrietta Ackeral in Big Valley, Alberta. He entered into a family with eight siblings (five sisters and three brothers). In addition to high school Ron took many courses in the oil and gas trade. He enjoyed it so much he even ended up teaching others about the trade. Ron worked all through the province of Alberta and into British Columbia.

Ron had a sense of humor, he enjoyed satire and joking around. Ron liked watching comedies in TV and listening to classical music. He loved hopping on his motorcycle to go touring Alberta, British Columbia and the United States of America.

Ronald will be sadly missed by his wife Zofia and family, daughters Sue and Linda along with their spouses. Grandchildren; Max, Heike, Jennifer and Jazmin. Great grandchildren; Ava, Huxley and Kaeli.

At Ron’s request there will be no Memorial Service.
