Obituary For Robert Jay Major

Robert Major, 53, passed away peacefully in his home on November 19, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

He will be profoundly missed by his loving wife, Jen; his six children, Tyler, Kara, Nicole, Calli, Carter, and Mikayla; grandchildren Luca, Huxley, Malachi, and Rosie; parents Ron and Rose Major; sisters Tracy (Todd) Fogle and Lorrie Walker; and a vast circle of family and friends.

Robert was predeceased by his brother, Ronnie Major, and brother-in-law, James Walker.

His love for adventure, sports, and his spontaneous attitude will always be remembered. He was the “life of the party,” a beautiful, positive spirit whose warmth and charisma created community everywhere he went. He was known by many for his generosity and infectious love for God.

Robert successfully dedicated his work life to growing and cherishing one of the family restaurants, a legacy he proudly upheld from his parents.

The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie, AB. Friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon at 2:30 p.m. at the Paradise Inn Hotel (11201 100 Ave). Following the luncheon, interment will be held at the Webster Cemetery in Webster, AB.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this message. My condolences and prayers go out to his wife Jen, his children, his parents, his siblings, his grandchildren and all who knew him and loved him. He was a wonderful man and friend. His presence will be truly missed during my visits to Grand Prairie. From the first time I met him he made me feel like part of the family. Watching him play with Malachi and Rosalie always warmed my heart. The day before I left GP he came to see me and thanked me for being there for his daughter and our grandchildren and yes I cried. My prayers are especially with my daughter-in-law Kara, Roger, Malachi and Rosalie during their time of sorrow and grieving. Until we meet again ❤️ Merina

Sadly I am unable to attend the memorial and celebration of life for Rob. ROBB was truly one of the most positive and kind of people I've ever encountered in the business world... always optimistic and always a believer in people and God I am sad at his loss... And pray for his family. He will be missed... But he also serves as a great inspiration of how to live your life to make a difference.
