Richard Bennett Thomson, resident of Kamloops, BC, passed away suddenly while at the QEII Hospital, in Grande Prairie, AB, on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the age of 89 years.

Life Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what's to be, A resting place along the road, To sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay... Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know. For some the journey's quicker, For some the journey's slow. And when the journey finally ends, We'll claim a great reward, And find everlasting peace, Together with the lord -Author unknown

Richard is survived by his soul mate Doreen; son Darcy; grandchildren: Jonathon, Andrew and Richard; sisters Thelma, Viola and Rosalie (Roy); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were done at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie, with Richard being cremated. Doreen will be spreading Richard's ashes in Fort. St. John, BC.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 1:00pm, in Fort St. John, at Louis and Shelly’s residence (9840 240 Rd.)
