Rene Laquerre, resident of Saguenay, QC, formerly of Grande Cache, AB, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023, in Saguenay, QC, at the age of 58 years.

Rene was born on December 12, 1965, in Drummondville, QC, to Gerard and France Laquerre. The family moved to Grande Cache in 1980, where Rene attended his high school years. Rene moved back to Quebec in 1990, and remained there until his sudden passing.

Rene will be sadly missed by his sister Chantel Laquerre of Grande Prairie, AB; nephews: Duane Bingham (Mellissa and their kids Theodore and Amelia), Christopher Bingham (Coby), and Dwight Bingham, all of Edson, AB; lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins in Quebec; as well as close friend Pierre-luc Beaulieu of Saguenay, QC.

Rene was predeceased by his father Gerard Laquerre (1996); mother France Laquerre (2008); sister Nancy Laquerre Bingham (2020); as well as the love of his life Lynn Sobeil (2015).

A Celebration of Life will be held in Saint-Wenceslas, QC, at a later date.
