Obituary For Reine Lupky

Reine Lupky, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Winnipeg, MB, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 87 years.

Reine was born January 2, 1935, in Winnipeg. The oldest daughter of 8 children, she spent a lot of years helping raise her siblings. Reine’s greatest love was her family. She had a tremendous amount of family and friends. Get-togethers were common on any given day, but especially the holidays. There was never a shortage of music, games, and good times.

Reine was a tell-it-like-it-is type of lady we loved and will miss that about her. She had so much love and kindness to give.

She was an incredible cook, baker, and perogy maker. Reine taught everyone how to make them, she especially loved teaching the grandchildren. Amongst her many talents in her later days, a few of her favourite things to do were knitting, colouring, puzzles, and listening to Charlie Pride on repeat.

She will be sadly missed by her children Dennis (Selina), and Russell (Dawna); brother Rudy (Connie); sister Cecilia (Les); grandchildren: Brady (Eilee), Randi (Dorian), and Cassandra; as well as great-grandchildren: Leighton and Sadeigh.

She was predeceased by her husband Alex Lupky.

We would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Brad Martin and staff. Brad our family can only give you the praise that we know you deserve and let you know how much you mean to all of us, and how much you meant to mom. A heartfelt thank you. Also, thank you to the staff at Grande Prairie Care Centre for your care and friendship.
