Obituary For Raymond Bradley Pasmore

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Raymond Bradley Pasmore on Thursday, May 22, 2025, while travelling – doing what he loved most: living life to the fullest.

Born on June 2, 1980, in Edmonton, Alberta, Ray brought joy, laughter, and generosity to every life he touched. After graduating high school in Fort Vermillion, Ray moved to Grande Prairie and began a career in the oilfield industry. He became a welder in 2003 and went on to build not just pipelines, but lifelong friendships. He mentored many young welders and took great pride in the “oilfield family” he helped grow.

He loved being in the mountains – whether on quads or snowmobiles and was always up for an adventure. Kakwa became his second home. He also loved his little acreage and farm, where you could often find him in the goat pen or cutting the grass. His house was always open for a beer or whatever you needed.

Ray’s love for his children was unmatched. He was always the first to offer his help, his truck, a piece of advice – helpful or not – or a laugh. He was incredibly proud of them, and his greatest hope was that they would have as much fun in life as he did, with just as much luck along the way.

Ray always supported Christine in her big dreams, and together they built daycares that cared for thousands of children in their community over the past 20 years. This is where Ray’s master carpentry skills and imagination truly shone through.

Ray and Christine shared a true love story. He left her a lifetime of memories. One of his greatest joys was music, especially his favorite band AC/DC – the first concert he took Christine to in 2001, and the last they saw together in Nashville. You could always find him singing along or talking about "that little band from Australia”.

Recently, Ray had just started his “stay-at-home dad era” now that the kids were grown and thriving, he was living his best life. He had also just started flying and was close to finishing his private pilot license this summer.

Ray lived boldly and authentically. His witty comebacks, one-liner movie quotes, inappropriate comments, and unforgettable laughter will be missed by many.

Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Christine Pasmore, and their children, Jamie (Ben) and Joshua, whom he cherished beyond words. He also leaves behind his father Lloyd Pasmore, his sister Kim Cassity (Jason), and his in-laws Wayne and Connie Penner. Ray was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews and a loyal friend to countless others.

He was predeceased by his mother, Lorene Beck, whom he carried in his heart always.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 3:00 pm at 5 Mile Hall, followed by a time of sharing at the house, Lot 72, Sandy Ridge. We invite all who knew Ray to gather, share stories, raise a glass, and honor a man who lived large and loved even larger.

Forever missed. Always remembered. Wildy Loved.
