Obituary For Patricia Jane Chamberlain

Patricia Jane Chamberlain, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Beaverlodge, AB, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the age of 76, just days before her 77th birthday.

Patricia was born and raised in Beaverlodge, and throughout her life, she also called Sherwood Park, Eaglesham, Sexsmith, and Grande Prairie home.

She began her career with Alberta Power before spending several years working at the bank. In her later years, she returned to school to become a certified aesthetician and a registered massage therapist. A role she cherished because it gave her the chance to brighten people’s days and lift their spirits. She loved doing nails, hair, and offering fashion advice, always with her signature kindness and care.

Patricia was an incredibly compassionate and generous person. She had a gift for forming deep friendships and was surrounded throughout her life by wonderful friends, who treasured her honesty and warmth. Above all, she had an intense love for her grandchildren, finding endless joy in spending time with them. She loved decorating, cooking, and preparing fancy snacks and meals, and was always eager to try new recipes. She also enjoyed sewing quilts and Halloween costumes for her grandchildren, pouring her love into every detail.

Patricia was first married to Jerry Walker, with whom she had two children, Kim and Mike. She later married Ed Chamberlain, and together they welcomed Cody.

She will be deeply missed by her children: Kim Blundell (Randy) and granddaughter Jaylen Blundell; Mike Walker (Chas) and grandsons Tyson, Turner, and Mac Walker; Cody Chamberlain (Niki Binks) and grandson Hunter Chamberlain; stepson Jim Chamberlain (Cherie); and stepdaughter Bonnie Chamberlain.

Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Ed Chamberlain, on May 13, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2:00 pm, at the Valhalla Lutheran Church (Highway 59) in Valhalla Centre, AB.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grande Prairie Hospice Palliative Care Society (www.gpcare.ca).

Patricia will be remembered for her generous heart, her laughter, and her ability to make every gathering special.
