Nicolas Eric Coates passed away accidentally while enjoying one of his passions on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the age of 5 years.

He is survived by his parents Rocky and Stephanie Coates and his brother Emmett. He also leaves to mourn his fraternal Grandparents Richard Coates (Adelaide Kezar), Wendy Olson and his maternal Grandfather David Wilson; Uncles David (Natalie) and Dan (Tracey); Auntie Sherri (James); his loving cousins Danielle, Nathaniel, Emelia, Hatley, Dihlan and Nia; Great-Auntie Nancy Barkhouse and cousin Gunnar; as well as many other extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Gay Wilson, his GG Kay Olson and his Great-Uncle Frank.

A special thanks to all the friends, volunteers and medical staff for their efforts and support.

There will be a Visitation held on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 7:00-9:00pm at Oliverâ??s Funeral Chapel in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.), and also prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 2:00pm.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 3:00pm at Grande Prairie Alliance Church (15502 102 St.).

Following the service there will be an interment at the Webster Cemetery and a reception at the Webster Hall.
