Obituary For Nettie Osepiuk Juzwishin

Nettie Juzwishin, resident of Kelowna, BC, formerly of Spirit River, AB, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2020 in Kelowna, at the age of 97 years.

Nettie was born to Elizabeth and John Osepuik, on August 28, 1922 in Lodz, Poland. The family immigrated to Canada in 1929. She lived most of her life in the Devale area close to Spirit River, then moved to Dawson Creek, BC and finally retired in the beautiful Okanagan where she lived the remainder of her life.

She was a farmer’s wife who enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and knitting. Nettie also worked for many years as a housekeeper at the Windsor Hotel in Dawson Creek, BC.

She will be sadly missed by her children: John (Vicky) Juzwishin, Marie (Tony) Volk, and Janet Juzwishin; grandchildren: Jason Juzwishin, Tammy (Rob) Twelvetree, Judy (Ben) MacRae, Rex Brown, Sandra (Gary) Sainsbury, Robert Kleinbeekman, Linda (Stephen) Toal, and Theresa (Barry) Blask; as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nettie was predeceased by her husband Adam Juzwishin; and siblings: Walter, Mary, Nick, Lena, George and Eva.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 11:00am, at Spirit of Peace United Church in Spirit River (4902 45 Ave.).
