It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Ferns, on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the age of 74 years, in Coaldale, AB. Embraced by her daughter, she left this earth and soared into heaven, leaving all pain and suffering behind.

Nancy was born July 29, 1949. She loved God ferociously, and adored her family.

Nancy leaves behind her daughter Shazia (Gerry) Hughes; grandchildren: Jonathan Hughes, Josiah Hughes, Alyssiana (Chad) Kean; great-grandchildren: Kaelem and Lilia Kean; siblings: Josie Rego, Maureen Pinto, and Anita (Peter) D’Souza; as well as nephews, nieces, and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Nancy at Parallel Church (1 Mile East on HWY 3), Lethbridge, AB, on January 18, 2024, at 11:00am. A small luncheon will follow.

A Livestream of the service will be accessible 15 minutes prior to the service on Nancy’s obituary on Oliver’s Funeral Home website.

Interment will take place in the spring, in Grande Prairie, AB.
