Obituary For Maureen "Moe" Rose Stamp
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maureen Stamp, resident of Grande Prairie, AB. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the age of 56 years.
Maureen graced the Peace Country with her love and attention to family, community, and agriculture. If you knew Moe, you know her countless endeavours would be too many to list here. If you did not have the pleasure of meeting her, there is likely someone in your life whom her kindness has impacted. We are lucky to have had her to look up to for so many years. She loved well and was well loved; she was a life-long learner and had a broad and eclectic knowledge. Moe was strong and compassionate, and was never afraid to try. She had good friends and was a good friend in return. Though we grieved the final goodbye, we will tuck the spirit of her away in our hearts and be grateful for her love. Mom you are already missed beyond measure and loved beyond words.
Moe will be sadly missed by her husband Kelvin Stamp; daughters: Nikita Stamp (Mathew Wathen), Natasha Stamp, Erika Stamp (Iain Johnson); granddaughter Avery Moe Johnson; mother Darlene McDermott (Carl Delorne); father Henry McDermott; sister Erin (Jason) Haggitt and family; sister Tammy McDermott and family; as well as brother Kevin McDermott
Moe's Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made in Maureen's memory to PARDS (710009 Range Road 55, County of Grande Prairie No.1, AB, T8W 5A7), or to the Wembley United Church (9703 100 St., Wembley, AB, T0H 3S0).

Moe was an at-home aide for our Autistic son Noah when he was little. She was so full of light and patience and joy and she taught not just Noah, but our entire family so much. She changed our family for the better. The world lost a great light far too soon. She will be dearly missed, but the echoes of what she did in this life will go on for a long, long time.
