Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Bennion, resident of Grande Prairie, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 91 years.

Beth was born December 5, 1926 in Ottawa, ON. She was raised in Ottawa where she met and married Jack in 1951. They moved to St. Catharines, ON, then settled in Grande Prairie in 1953.

Mom enjoyed spending time with her family, and liked gardening. She moved to Lakeview Lodge in August 2017 and she enjoyed her time there and made many friends.

She will be sadly missed by her son Bill; daughters: Carol Sack, Judy Bennion, Sandy Bennion, and Vivian (Craig) Taylor; grandchildren: Debbie (Kurt), Shauna (Brian), Stacie (Sean), Alison, Colin (Kris), Shannon, and Heather; great-grandchildren: Kinley, Breanna, Brooklynn, and Sarah; brother Fred (Irene) Myers, and sister Lillian Ayers.

She was predeceased by her husband Jack, brother Alex Myers, sister Dorothy Steadman, and son in-law Torry Sack.

Cremation will take place and a private family interment will be held.
