Obituary For Mary Anne Sawchuk Burns

Mary Anne Burns, resident of Beaverlodge, AB, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at the Hythe Continuing Care Centre, at the age of 93 years.

Mary was born in Wyczółki, Poland, on March 29, 1927.

She loved to garden, bake bread, make jam, and beet pickles, and pick berries.

Mary will be sadly missed by her brother and sisters: Frank Sawchuck, Phyllis Jarycik, and Florence Hanna; children: Florence, Aggie, and Joyce; grandchildren: Shannon Hoermann, Katie Satre, Jolene Hoermann, Jeanni Hoermann, Robert Quinn, Anthony Quinn, Jessica Mah, Melissa Bourk, Brady Wideman, and Kristie Lobilck; as well as her great-grandchildren: Kerry Hoermann, Kody Satre, Taylor Hoermann, Mitchell and Madison Mickla, Carli Heath, Jack Heath, Kasper Sutherland, Keesha, Kaylie, and Kiara Mah, Madison, Payten, and Tylen Bourk, Faith, and Jaxson Lobilck.

She was predeceased by her husband Frank Burns; daughter Phyllis Quinn; siblings: Steve Sawchuk, John Sawchuk, Pete Sawchuk, Albena Sewll, Joe Sawchuk; as well as parents Jan Sawchuk and Frances Sawchuk.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020, at 1:00pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Beaverlodge (1107 1 Ave.).

Interment to follow the service at the Beaverlodge Cemetery.
