We offer families the opportunity to prepare and submit obituary notices written in their own words. We believe this allows each tribute to authentically reflect the life and legacy of the individual. To honour each tribute, obituaries are published as approved by the family.

Margaret loved gardening and was known for her magnificent vegetable and flower gardens. She was also an incredible baker, especially known for her homemade bread, buns, and cookies. She kept busy knitting and sewing for as long as she was able and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

Margaret will be sadly missed by her children: Dave (Joanne), Erna (Eddy), and Rod (Tara); grandchildren: Keith (Tanya), Vanessa (Sam), Sam (Tara), Tim (Tiffany), Nico (Jennifer), Taylor (Josh), and Rylee (Kerri); and great-grandchildren: Charlee, Gabriel, Marshall, Cash, Lucy, Mia, Micah, Aria, Malia, Syrus, Evie, and Cal. She will also be missed by her siblings: Tina, David, and Frank.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jake, in 2025, whom she had been longing to be reunited with, and her siblings: Henry, Annie, Mary, and George.

Burial will take place Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the Webster Cemetery (744008 Range Rd 53) in Sexsmith; all are welcome to attend. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home (10005 107 Ave.) in Grande Prairie.
