Obituary For Margaret Macklin

Margaret Macklin, resident of Elmworth, AB, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Hythe Continuing Care Centre, at the age of 98 years.

Margaret resided in the Elmworth area with her husband Tom for 98 years. During that time, she spent her days being the best farm wife ever. When she wasn’t running around on the farm, she enjoyed gardening and mowing her lawn.

Margaret also enjoyed curling and softball and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Margaret loved her card games with friends and a nightly game of pool with Tom. She relaxed with crocheting needle point, and word search.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Tom Macklin; children Dorothy Ray (Cecil) and Tim Macklin (Denise); grandchildren Jason (Carmen) Ray, Clint Ray (Terri), Angela (Darryl) Tetreau, Beckie (Greg) Stouffer, Brody (Mariska) Macklin, Kelby Macklin (Calvin), and Logan Macklin (Shekaya); 17 great-grandchildren; as well as 2 great great-grandchildren.

A Tea Party in Margaret’s Memory will be held, at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Beaverlodge Seniors Centre (301 – 10th St.).

Condolences and sympathy to the Macklin family, she was such a great lady. The first time she met me she was so kind, the second she bought a teapot as a gift and we had tea often with many shared stories of her growing up and her family also growing...that was over 30 years ago. She was a great lady to have as a neighbor and friend. She loved her family so much. RIP Margaret, I hope it's where the crops are full and the sun shines.
