Obituary For Louise Sophia Kimble

It is with broken hearts, that we announce the peaceful passing of Louise Kimble, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, neighbor, and friend to numerous people, on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the Grande Prairie Hospital, at the age of 99 years. She was a true vision of a long life, well lived.

Louise was born in Bezanson, AB, on August 20, 1923, to parents Edward and Florence Robideau and lived in Minnesota, USA, for short periods of time (always returning to the Grande Prairie area). Her father passed away when she was very young, and as she reminisced about her life as a young person, it always sounded to us like she had many hardships in her life. She not only didn't feel that way, she loved her life. She had the ability to find the good in everything and everyone.

Louise was an excellent cook, seamstress, gardener, card player, and pretty much anything else she attempted. Traveling was a passion of hers and she could be ready in a heartbeat to go on a trip whenever there was an opportunity. Louise was a fantastic mother to her children, as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and their extended families that she thought of like her own. Louise is leaving to mourn her children: Albert Robideau (Carol), Melvin Kimble, Donna (Sam) Kloberdanz, David (Sharon) Kimble, Dianne Wilson, and Carol (Neil) Murphy. Her passing has also created a void in the lives of 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; brother Ray Robideau; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Louise was predeceased by her husband Herman Kimble; parents Ed and Florence Robideau; step-father Bud Gallant; sisters Beattie Fells and Audrey Newman; brother Bert Robideau; great-granddaughters Ryleigh and Saylor Ophus; son in-law Garry Wilson; grandsons in-law Billy Doerksen and Brad Ratzlaff.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at the Elks Hall in Grande Prairie (10806 106 St.).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation (100-119 14 St NW, Calgary, AB, T2N 1Z6), or to Parkinson Association of Alberta – Edmonton (11209 86 St NW, Edmonton, AB, T5B 3H7).
