Obituary For Lorraine Frances Jack

Lorraine Frances Jack (nee Peterson), resident of Spirit River, AB, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 68 years.

Lorraine was born on November 11, 1952, in Saskatoon, SK. She met Bruce in Calgary, AB, in 1969. They moved to Spirit River in the summer of 1978.

A quiet, strong woman, Lorraine always put her family and those close to her first, hard-working, caring and genuine. She often had a quiet smile, and shared jokes with her husband Bruce and family. She will be remembered as the backbone of the family, thoughtful, and caring to the end.

Lorraine was an avid gardener and crafter. In 1978 the family moved near Spirit River. She turned the rough and unknown land into a home. Later in life, it transformed into a small oasis bristling with colors, plants, ornaments, and all manner of handicrafts. She spent her time pursuing several passions such as quilting, cross-stitch, sewing, photography, and gardening. She was caring for all animals, and particularly her cats.

Lorraine will be sadly missed by her husband Bruce Jack; children: Darcy (Lee-Anna) Jack, Steven (Susie) Jack, and Jason (Laura) Jack; grandchildren: Dayton, Phillip, Kaleigh, Nora, and Quincy; siblings: Linda, Debby, Vern, Joanne, Beverly, Sandra, Roberta, and Michelle.

Lorraine was predeceased by her parents Allan Herman Peterson and Margery S Peterson.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 2:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home (10005 107 Ave).
