Obituary For Lois "Maxine" Elizabeth Boucher

Lois Maxine Elizabeth Boucher, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Grande Cache, AB, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 5:02am, at Prairie Lake Senior Community, at the age of 81.

Maxine was born in New Brigden, AB, on December 23, 1940. She was raised in Calgary, AB, along with 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She married Larry Calvin Boucher on May 2, 1959.

Maxine was an outdoors lover; enjoyed gardening, helping with the animals, and camping. Her hobbies included reading, word searches, and crochet. She also LOVED her bingo. She always enjoyed cooking for large groups and made sure no one went hungry. Maxine had an open-door policy for anyone and loved company to stop and visit with.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Melanie (Mike) VanHoek, Clay (Lisa) Boucher, and Leah (James) McNally; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; sister in-law Faith Cronick; as well as best friend Donna Bury.

She was predeceased by her son Larry Cole Boucher in 2006; her husband Larry Calvin Boucher in 2011; as well as parents, sisters, and brothers.

The family would like to thank all the Nurses and Health Care Aides at Prairie Lake Senior Community for their wonderful care; Dr. Barreth and Alison Nowek for their support and care; thank you to the Grande Prairie Palliative Care Society for their care and support; as well as to the Heritage Lodge

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 1:00pm, at Oliver's Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). Interment to follow at the Grande Prairie Cemetery (84th Ave and 112th St.). Luncheon to follow at 3:30pm at Leah’s. Memorial Donations may be made to the Grande Prairie Palliative Care Society (#204, 10134 97 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 7X6).
