It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Lillie McKay, longtime resident of Halcourt and Beaverlodge, who passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Beaverlodge Hospital, at the age of 92 years.

She was the third daughter of Russ and Agnes Walker, early pioneers at Halcourt. Lillie attended school at Halcourt and Two Rivers (for one year). She married Bob McKay at the family farm and they had two sons, Richard â??Dickâ?? and Kenneth. In the early 50â??s, they moved to Beaverlodge where Lillie began her long stint of 32 years in the Beaverlodge Post Office.

She leaves to mourn her daughter in-law Theresa (Gordon); grandchildren Valerie (Curt) and Allan (Teryl); great-grandchildren Jade (Darren), Kaila and Tanner; great great-grandchildren Connor and Lauren; her son Ken (Shirley); grandchildren Martin (Elizabeth), Kent (Carol) and Kena (Mark); great-grandchildren: Ronan, Damon (Brittany), Dallas, Jonah, Bailie, Cora and Rhys; sisters: Mona, Betty, Ruby and Shirley (Bill) and their families; also the families of her predeceased siblings who were all very fond of their Aunt Lillie.

She was predeceased by her husband Bob, son Richard â??Dickâ??, parents Russ and Agnes, granddaughter Andrea, sisters Annie and Irene, and her brother Alvin.

There will be no service held at her request.
