Obituary For Leslaw "Les" Zep

Leslaw Zep, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Blizyn, Poland, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, at the age of 66 years.

Les was born on April 22, 1956, in Blizyn, Kieleckie, Poland. He obtained his electrician degree and worked as an electrician in a factory, and repaired elevators. He was in the Polish Army for 2 years. On August 5, 1978, he married Anna. Their only child Rafal was born on October 20, 1979, and the family immigrated to Canada in 1990 after 2 years in Turkey.

Les loved to help people and always joked and told stories. He was funny, outgoing, and very friendly.

Les enjoyed biking, loved to cook, playing volleyball with Mila, and ping pong with his son Rafal. He also loved walking with Anna and their two dogs. Les will be sadly missed by his wife Anna Zep; Rafal (Rachel) Zep; granddaughter Milana Zep; sister Ela (Wojtek) Raczynska; as well as brother Waldemar (Ewa) Zep. Les was predeceased by his parents Zofia and Lucjan Zep.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 11:00am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.). Interment to follow at the Grande Prairie Cemetery (84th Ave and 112th St.). Luncheon to follow in the St. Joseph Tranquill Hall.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society AB/NWT Division (200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5).

    Rafel and Family, so sorry for your loss. Used to chat with your Mom and Dad all the time at the store and enjoyed great conversations with them. Les will be truly missed.
