Obituary For Leonard "Len" Palmer Larson
Leonard Palmer Larson, resident of Hythe, AB, formerly of Fort St. John, BC, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital, at the age of 89 years.
Leonard was born on July 10, 1935, on the family farm in Valhalla Centre, AB. He was raised on the farm and attended school at Odin, Blooming Valley, Valhalla Centre School and high school in Grande Prairie, AB. Len entered the oil patch after high school and worked his entire life in the Oil and Gas industry. He met his wife, Ruth, in 1958, married shortly thereafter and started their family. They enjoyed a long and happy life together until Ruth’s passing in 2021. Len was a laid back, easy-going individual who loved travelling, camping, hunting, fishing, flying his plane, and sailing.
He will be dearly missed by his four children: Ray Lynn (Norbert), Wayne, Yvonne (Ron), and Glen Alan; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Len is predeceased by his beloved wife, Ruth; grandson Levi; parents Elmer and Ragna Larson; brother Ronald; sister Esther; and brother-in-law Roderick.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in Grande Prairie, AB.
