We are saddened to announce that Lawrence Christian Windum, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 81 years.

Lawrence was born in Toronto, ON, on December 26, 1944, and later moved to the Yukon Territory. In 1995, he relocated to Grande Prairie. Here, he opened and ran a successful bookkeeping agency, Equity Accounting & Office Management Ltd., with his wife and co-owner, Norma.

As a man of principle, Lawrence deeply valued the old ways. He enjoyed flying, camping, fishing, and spending time in the backyard with his pets—his dogs and crow. He loved music from the 50s and 60s, listening to it or watching it on YouTube. Lawrence kept up on current news and politics by watching TV and liked reality shows such as Deadliest Catch and Gold Rush.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Norma Windum, and brother, Donald Windum.
