Obituary For Larry Robert Wold

Larry Robert Wold, resident of Bragg Creek, Alberta, formerly resident of Grande Prairie, Alberta passed away at Calgary Foothills Hospital on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the age of 75 years.

Larry was born to parents Helene and Lennie Wold, the first of three children. He attended school in La Glace initially and then continued his high school at Sexsmith Secondary.

He loved hockey. Playing it with the Hythe Mustangs to watching the Edmonton Oilers. He met the love of his life Maxine Stith when he played with the Mustangs. They married and had three beautiful children together, Amber Wold (Matt Reeder), Michael Wold and Darla Wold (Travis Moulton).

Larry loved the outdoors, especially at the cabin. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends creating cherished memories. Close to the end of his life, he still valued the outdoors. You could often see him driving his scooter around the neighborhood, Garth Brooks blaring as he made new friends in the area.

Larry is predeceased by his wife of over 50 years Maxine Wold. His parents Helene and Lennie Wold and his in-laws Oscar and Opal Stith.

Larry is survived by his children, grandchildren and siblings.

The Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 12:00 pm at One Island Lake, Lot #24, British Columbia. BBQ potluck/bring your own lawn chairs. Please bring your memories and stories about Larry to share with his family and friends.

Memorial Donations may be made to a charity of one’s own choice.
