We offer families the opportunity to prepare and submit obituary notices written in their own words. We believe this allows each tribute to authentically reflect the life and legacy of the individual. To honour each tribute, obituaries are published as approved by the family.

Obituary For Larry Dean Bielecki

Larry Bielecki, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, in Grande Prairie at the age of 67 years.

Larry was born in Grande Prairie on October 19, 1958, to Helen and John Bielecki. He graduated from the Composite High School in 1977 and started working at Don Golden Auto Body in 1988. Heartfelt thanks to Don and Debbie for everything over the years.

Larry (“Dad”) loved his cars. He always had the best cars in school. They were his passion, especially his Chevy Nova. Music was also something he loved, and he was a great country dancer.

Dad was known to be straight to the point and would tell you how it was, but his love and care for those around him was remarkable. He would help anyone whenever possible and was always there, especially for those closest to him.

He will be greatly missed by his children, Jade (Chad), Jasmine (Rob), and John; grandchildren Brylee and Avianna; sisters Karen, Cindy, Bonnie, and Dolly (Billy); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mom, Helen, and his dad, John.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Clairmont Community Hall (9819 100 Ave).

Condolences

Went to school with Larry... omg that Chevy Nova he had in grade 12! In phys Ed we had an option to either do regular gym or you could work on a project of your choice or passion. At the end of the year, Larry showed up with his hopped up Chevy and with the encouragement of phys Ed instructor, he was told to let her rip... oh my God it was so funny. They just freshly paved behind the school and Larry not only ripped the pavement up, but did so for several feet and thereafter a long black patch and he just kept going and never came back I laughed so hard. Sorry to hear of his passing. Jim
