Obituary For Kodie Tyler Letendre

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Kodie Tyler Letendre on Monday, August 24, 2026, born on August 12, 1986.

Kodie was the firstborn to Cynthia Letendre and Avery Lizotte. He was their pride and joy. A young man who couldn’t wait to grow up, he talked and walked at the age of eight and a half months. He was so cute, adorable, and became a handsome, dashing young man. He was fearless, courageous, kind, loving, and amazing. He was loved by everyone and those who met him, due to his charm and charisma.

Kodie was very talented at anything he did—musical instruments, singing, drawing, and especially dancing. He recently started tattooing, a longtime passion of his. He was a great, hard worker and loved to work. He was a carpenter and a roofer. Making his mark wherever and whenever he could, he was bold, blunt, and forgiving. He was also a gentle and sweet father to his daughter, an amazing father to her. He was very comical and did things to make you go “aaahhh” or laugh. There is so much to be said about Kodie.

He will be greatly missed by his mom, Cynthia; his daughter, Mielagh; his brothers, Ian, Adrian, Avery Jr., Keaton, and Kyler; his sisters, Megan, Trish (Charles), Janelle, and Chezare; his nephews, Felix, Stanley, Nixon, Niamia, and Kane; his nieces, Aaltjia, Tayha, Alyssia, and Kendal; his aunties, Michelle (Cory), Wendy, Melinda, Holly (Scott), and Lil Cynthia; his uncle, Leslie (Brandy); his moosum, Stanley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He has gone to join his father, Avery Lizotte; kookum Ruth Gladue; grandparents Drilda and Howard Lizotte; aunty Merle Lizotte; uncles Kirby Lizotte, Danny Patrick, and Braden Gauthier; his sisters/cousins, Melanie and Chantel Lizotte, and Shay and Kaitlyn Cardinal; along with numerous other family members.

The funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Horse Lake Arena (Horse Lakes 152B, AB), preceded by the wake on Friday, September 4, 2026.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to everyone who provided support during this difficult time. Without their assistance, the honouring of Kodie wouldn’t have been the same. The condolences made, kindness shown, and love shared will forever be remembered.
