Kimberly left this earth with love on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. She left peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Her son, Anton, and her sister, Tami, supported her during her transition.

Family was Kimberly’s top priority. Her unconditional love for her son went to the moon and back. She loved her sister’s children so very much, and in return, they adored her.

Kimberly enjoyed all music except hardcore country. She found great pleasure in dancing and was one of the best partners on the dance floor. Kimberly would often travel, taking trips to Jasper, Vancouver Island, and the Okanagan, as well as going on many picnics all over the Northern Peace. A number of her friends and family have more than one of her beautifully crocheted quilts. Kimberly was an avid reader, movie buff, fashion icon, and purse collector, usually sporting acrylic nails. She enjoyed countless Purdys chocolates, Starbucks visits, Crooked Creek donuts, sushi orders, and of course, taking care of her little dogs.

Kimberly’s beautiful smile was accompanied by a wicked sense of humour. She was truly one in a million, an irreplaceable girl whose love and beauty transcended time. We will miss her.

Kimberly leaves us with all the love for her son, Anton, and his dog, Zeus; her mother, Lil; her father, Bruce (Barb); her sister, Tami (Joe), and their children, Michael, Evan (Ashlea) and their children, Eleanor and Everett, and Tiana (Ryan) and their children, Leon and a baby on the way; and her brother, Lee (Bonnie).

She was predeceased by her husband, Rick Bawkowy, and her brother, Sean.

Thank you to all the girls at Emerald Gardens, the nurses on Unit 12 at the GPRH, and for the kindness shown during her brief stay at Prairie Lake Hospice.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
