We are saddened to announce that Kevin Starr, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Peerless Lake, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 30 years.

Kevin was born on July 1, 1996, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, and was raised in Grande Prairie. He was generous, trustworthy, outgoing, and made it easy to have a conversation together. He was such a ladies’ man and had a fantastic sense of humour. Kevin was incredibly loving and caring. Gathering with family and friends brought him happiness, no matter what they were doing. He simply enjoyed being around people.

Kevin will be sadly missed by his children, Gemma Starr, Raymond Starr, and Juda Starr; his father, Jason Gauthier; his brother, Clifford Starr; and his kokum, Annie Starr; along with his aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.

He was predeceased by his chapan, David Edward Starr, and his mother, Lucille Starr.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005-107 Ave).

Another viewing will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Peerless Lake Community Hall (Peerless Lake, AB, T0G 2W0).

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Peerless Lake Community Hall, followed by interment at the Peerless Lake Cemetery.
