Obituary For Kevin Harold Stafford
Kevin Stafford, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Prairie Lake Hospice, Grande Prairie, at the age of 76 years.
Kevin was born October 21, 1946, in Edmonton, AB, and raised in Fawcett, AB. He spent most of his working years in the oil and gas industry, working in Fort St. John, BC, Saudi Arabia, and the Beaufort Sea, before settling in the Grande Prairie area in the 1980s.
He loved to go boating and was an avid golfer. Summers would find him boating with family and friends on the Shuswap Lakes in BC or on the nearest golf course. He enjoyed holiday and weekend get-togethers and was an ardent fan of the Edmonton Oilers hockey team.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Beth Stafford; children: Todd Stafford, Tracy Stafford, Tammy Walsh, Don (Cynthia) Van Duzee, and Robyn Van Duzee; grandchildren: Shantelle, Sarah, Isabelle, Dominic, Amanda, Aleesha, Dante, Everett, and Gaige; great-grandchildren: Aliyah, Tiauna, Abigail, and Teagan; sisters: Linda Olafson, Noreen (Norman) Swenson; brother-in-law Raymond Hoglund; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Kevin was predeceased by his parents Harold and Flora Stafford, and his sister Judi Hansen.
As per Kevin’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Grande Prairie Palliative Care Society (#204, 10134 97 Ave. Grande Prairie, AB T8V 7X6, www.gpcare.ca), or to the Canadian Cancer Society AB/NWT Division (200, 325 Manning Road NE Calgary, AB T2E 2P5, www.cancer.ca).

Dearest Beth & family, We are so sorry to hear of Kevin's passing, from the bottom of our hearts we are sending you are deepest sympathy & condolences. The visit with Kevin in early April was perfect, his good spirits, his humor as always, these memories will remain in my heart forever, such as all the good times we spent together boating, camping, Mexico, evenings out just for fun and enjoyment. Saddened to hear of Kevin's passing. He was a huge O&G community member for many years and left a lot of great memories behind for us to remanence throughout the years. Thoughts and prayers to Beth and family.
