Obituary For Kenneth "Ken" Edward Moon

It is with deep sadness that the family of Kenneth Edward Moon, announce his passing on Friday, January 27, 2023, at the age of 79 years.

Ken was born in Grande Prairie, AB, on March 17, 1943, to Edna and Hugh Moon. He was a long-time resident of Beaverlodge, AB, where he met his loving wife Connie, and raised his two children, Judy and Ken Jr.

Ken loved all aspects of being outdoors, whether it was hunting, dune buggying, snowmobiling, fishing, and camping. He always had many fun stories to share with each adventure. But above all, he loved spending time with his family especially with his four grandsons.

Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years and their children: Judy (Ron) and Ken (Leah); as well as his wonderful grandsons: Joshua (Kayla), Samuel, Cole, and Logan. Ken was predeceased by his parents Hugh and Edna Moon; as well as siblings: Raymond, Burton, and Joyce Werk.

The family of Ken Moon would like to thank Doctor Van, and the nurses and staff of the Beaverlodge Hospital for his care.

At this time, there will be no funeral. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Kenneth Moon to the Beaverlodge Hospital Foundation (Box 480, Beaverlodge, AB, T0H 0C0).

Ken was a solid, reliable friend when we were in our early years growing up, going to school, being on sports teams in Beaverlodge ... great memories. Tough loss for you and the family, Connie, and I wish you strength going forward. Howard Johnson

Saddened to see Ken's obituary. First met him at the post office in Beaverlodge when he was delivering rural mail.. so dependable and efficient! Enjoyed his quiet humour with post office staff as he prepared the mail for delivery...always with a joke or three! Condolences to all family with special hugs to Connie ❤️
